The First Snow Fall!

Well... it snowed today! A lot! The snow was a surprise and it seemed to be isolated right over New Groningen Elementary School. It was so beautiful and the children were very excited.

Because it didn't snow in many surrounding areas, many children came to school without snow gear, myself included. We talked with the class about where they will hang their snow pants, hats and mittens, and where their boots will go. We posted the "Snow Clothes" chart, which will help children remember the order in which to dress.

There are so many things for them to keep track of, and we'll do whatever we can to help keep their things organized, and their bodies warm and dry as winter approaches! A letter will be sent home to remind families what they can do to help with winter apparel. It is posted under Classroom Information.
