Winter is Wonderful!

It's been quite cold this winter, and it's hard to be five (or six) years old and have to endure inside recess due to wind chills that dip below zero. Thankfully, we have been keeping warm by working hard and playing with great friends.

Take a look at what we've been up to!

We are learning to build things using shapes we know.

We have been learning new popcorn words and practicing every day!

We made snowmen with a pattern on their scarf, and we used snowflake paint to make an addition sentence!

We made doves to symbolize the peace that Martin Luther King Jr. taught us about. We discussed how we can be peacemakers in our own classroom.

We read The Mitten by Jan Brett. We identified the characters and setting, and  acted out the story to practice retelling details.
